About us

For many years medical care in Richhill was provided solely by Dr D L Hemmingway, physician, ex-serviceman, artist, gardener and gentleman.

He was also a Foundation Member and Chairman of Richhill Improvements Committee and President of Richhill Flute Band. On Dr. Hemmingway’s retirement, Dr J B Thompson and Dr W A G Heatley joined together to practice at Clonfert, Richhill and they continued in practice together at ‘Clonfert’ until 1973 when Richhill Health Centre was opened.

Dr Alan Turtle became the village GP on Dr Thompson’s retirement and practiced for 30 years until his own retirement in 2011.

We are very conscious of the high standard of medical care which this practice has achieved in the past, and we will continue to attempt to emulate this in the modern context.

This website outlines the services we provide. We hope you will find it useful.
